Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees (arrived before January 1, 1962), or persons of Indian origin from specified countries with intent to settle permanently in India.
Educational Qualification
- General Candidates: A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent, with a valid mark sheet/degree certificate indicating the percentage of marks obtained.
- Ex-Servicemen:
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree meet the general qualification criteria.
- Ex-servicemen without a Bachelor’s degree must be matriculated and have completed at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces, holding an Army Special Certificate of Education or equivalent certificates from the Navy or Air Force (issued before January 2024).
- Computer Literacy: Mandatory knowledge of computer operations (Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language or having studied Computer/Information Technology at high school/college level).
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the official language of the state/UT applied for is preferable. A Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) may be conducted post-Mains if the candidate has not studied the state’s official language at the 10th grade or above.
Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years (born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2005)
- Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen:
