Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) invites online applications for direct recruitment to Group C posts from Ex-Servicemen (ESM) who have qualified the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group-C. Eligibility Criteria

Age and Qualifications: Details regarding the age limits, qualifications, and category-wise bifurcation for various Group-C posts can be found in Appendix-B of the official notification. Candidates applying based on equivalent qualifications must note that their consideration will be provisional and subject to verification by the indenting department.

Reservation: Reservation policies will be implemented as per the Haryana Government’s instructions. Details on reservation, including for Ex-Servicemen, can be found in the official notification.

Examination and Selection Criteria

The selection process involves an offline written examination or skill test based on the CET marks. Key points include:

1. Pattern of Examination:

1. • All questions are compulsory and the question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi).
   • The examination will be OMR-based with no negative marking for wrong answers.
   • Total of 100 questions with a weightage of 0.975 marks per question.
   • Candidates must fill one option out of five for each question. No marking will result in a deduction of 0.975 marks per unattempted question.
   • An additional five minutes will be given to mark the fifth option if the candidate does not know the answer. The total time allowed will be 105 minutes.

2. Eligibility for Skill/Written Examination:

1. • Candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit list of CET marks.
   • Candidates equal to five times the number of posts advertised will be eligible for the skill/written examination.

3. Criteria for Minimum Marks:

1. • General category candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the skill/written examination to be considered for selection.
   • Reserved category candidates will be given a 10% concession, requiring a minimum of 40% marks.

Important Instructions

1. Reservation for Ex-Servicemen:

1. • Ex-Servicemen who have secured regular employment in any State Government Department/Board/Corporation/University using the reservation benefits will not be eligible for reservation in subsequent employments.
   • Those who secured employment without reservation benefits or have not yet been employed can avail reservation benefits as per the guidelines.

2. Age Relaxation:

1. • Ex-Servicemen will continue to receive age relaxation benefits for higher posts.

3. Selection Process:

1. • The final selection will be based on the performance in the written/skill examination, subject to document verification.
